What I Investigate

The full range of private investigation, run by one investigator from intake to final report.

From discreet matrimonial surveillance to corporate internal inquiries, asset tracing to digital evidence preservation. Your case is never handed to a junior researcher you will never meet.

Matrimonial & Infidelity

Discreet surveillance and documentation when you need the truth about a spouse or partner. Reported exactly as observed.

Domestic Surveillance

Surveillance involving family, children, or the household, handled with the discretion that protects everyone involved.

Child Custody

Documentation of supervision, living conditions, and household circumstances for family law matters in Central Florida.

Corporate & Workplace

Internal theft, misconduct, conflicts of interest, and undisclosed outside business activity. Independent third-party inquiry.

Insurance & Claims

Activity checks, surveillance, and open-source development on suspect claims for insurers and defense counsel.

Background Investigations

Pre-employment, pre-marital, and pre-business checks that go well past what an online database returns.

Skip Tracing & Locates

Finding people who do not want to be found. Debtors, witnesses, beneficiaries, former tenants, and missing family.

Asset & Financial Searches

Property, entities, business interests, and financial footprint for judgment collection and pre-suit decisions.

Who I Help

Built around the people who call me.

Businesses protecting their interests, attorneys building their cases, and families who need the truth. Every client works with me directly.

Corporations & Executives

Internal misconduct, employee and vendor investigations, counterparty due diligence, and executive vetting — handled with boardroom discretion.

Attorneys & Law Firms

Surveillance, witness location, asset tracing, and sworn declarations on collection methodology — built to hold up under challenge.

Individuals & Families

Infidelity, custody concerns, locating family, and background checks — handled quietly, without judgment, and without pressure.

Confidentiality

Discretion is not a feature of the work. It is the work.

If a subject ever realizes they are being watched, the case is over — and you have told them exactly what you know. Protecting your privacy is built into every step, from the first call to the final report.

How I Work

Every case is planned before a single hour is logged.

No two investigations are the same. I scope each one personally, then build the timing, the methods, and the documentation around what the case actually requires.

It starts with a free, confidential call. You get an honest read on what is realistic and a clear estimate before you spend a dollar. From there, surveillance and evidence are documented at the time of collection — date, time, location, method — so the findings hold up if the case ever reaches a courtroom.

About SAS Intel

A career intelligence officer who happens to hold a PI license.

Richard Frederick spent two decades producing intelligence for decision-makers at the Defense Intelligence Agency, the U.S. Army, the Missile Defense Agency, and Deloitte — work where a wrong assessment was not a bad quarter, it was a bad outcome. He founded Strategic All-Source Intelligence Agency as private investigation agency in 2022 and still holds an active government security clearance. Richard worked directly with special operations task forces in Afghanistan, advising on some of the most daunting military operations in the war and was awarded a Bronze Star for his efforts.

Most investigative work fails on method rather than substance. The research was competent and the conclusion was probably right, but nobody logged the collection — and now it cannot be defended. Closing that gap is the entire point of this agency.

He is also the author of private investigator licensing study guides for five states, which means the question of what is lawful in a given jurisdiction is not one he guesses at.

I don't take a case where the conclusion is decided before the collection begins. Richard Frederick, Founder

Coverage

Orlando, Winter Garden, and every community across Central Florida.

I work where clients need me across the five-county Orlando metro. Beyond the region, cases are handled nationally through licensed partner agencies in the relevant jurisdiction.

Orlando

Orange County

From downtown offices to the tourist corridor, Orlando cases demand an investigator who knows how the city moves at every hour.

Winter Garden

Orange County

My home ground. Horizon West, Oakland, and the Plant Street corridor — residential surveillance here takes real local knowledge.

Windermere

Orange County

Gated communities and the Butler Chain demand discretion and planning. These are cases where a single mistake ends the investigation.

Dr. Phillips & Bay Hill

Orange County

Restaurant Row, Bay Hill, and the surrounding executive communities — high-visibility areas that reward careful surveillance planning.

Lake Nona

Orange County

Medical City and the surrounding master-planned communities, where controlled access shapes how every case has to be approached.

Kissimmee & Celebration

Osceola County

Short-term rental density and high transience make locates and surveillance here a different problem than anywhere else in the metro.

Clermont

Lake County

Fast-growing Highway 50 corridor communities spanning the Orange–Lake county line, with cases often filed in either jurisdiction.

Winter Park & Maitland

Orange County

Established neighborhoods, Park Avenue, and the professional corridor. Discretion matters most where everyone knows everyone.

Seminole County

Sanford · Lake Mary · Oviedo

Lake Mary's corporate corridor through Sanford and Oviedo, covering both corporate and family matters north of Orlando.

SAS Intel takes cases across Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, and Polk counties — the full Orlando metropolitan area. If your matter sits outside that footprint, say so on the call and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right agency for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What clients ask before hiring me.

What kinds of cases does SAS Intel handle?

Matrimonial and infidelity surveillance, domestic and custody matters, corporate and workplace investigations, insurance claims work, background investigations, skip tracing, and asset searches — plus the executive due diligence and open-source intelligence work the agency was founded on.

Every case is worked by me personally. Nothing is handed to a research contractor whose methods you will never see.

How much does a private investigator cost in Orlando?

Surveillance is billed hourly against a prepaid retainer. Research-based work — background checks, skip traces, asset searches — is usually flat fee, so you know the number before you commit.

The first consultation is free and confidential. You will get a realistic range before spending anything, and if your situation does not warrant an investigator, I will tell you that rather than sell you hours.

Will my spouse or the subject find out?

Discretion is the work, not a feature of it. If a subject realizes they are being watched, the case is effectively over and you have shown them what you know.

Every engagement runs under NDA. Findings go only to you, or to counsel you name.

Can I use the evidence in a Florida court?

Admissibility is the court's call. What I control is the part that usually causes the problem: everything is documented at the time of collection with date, time, location, and method, and I can provide a sworn declaration on that methodology and testify to my own work.

This is the main reason to use a licensed investigator instead of doing it yourself. Evidence a spouse gathers personally is frequently excluded, and sometimes creates criminal exposure for the person who gathered it.

Is hiring a private investigator legal in Florida?

Yes, when the investigator is licensed. Florida requires investigators to hold a Class "C" license and agencies to hold a Class "A." I hold both, and you can verify them yourself below.

There are firm limits on what any investigator may lawfully do. I will not place a tracking device on a vehicle you do not own, access anyone's accounts or communications, or obtain records through misrepresentation. Those are crimes in Florida, and they destroy the case they were meant to build.

Can you work outside Central Florida?

Open-source, records, and financial research is national by nature and is not constrained the way field surveillance is. Where a matter requires licensed field activity in another state, I engage a licensed agency in that jurisdiction rather than operate outside my own.

I wrote the licensing study guides for five states, so what is permissible where is not something I guess at.

How fast can you start?

Consultations are same-day. Most cases can open within 24 to 48 hours of a signed engagement and retainer. Time-sensitive matters — a known meeting, a trip, an upcoming court date — should be called in as early as possible, since surveillance depends on being in position before the subject moves.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. Every consultation, engagement, and communication is treated as confidential. Client details are not shared under any circumstances except as required by court order.

It is also why you will not find client names, logos, or case details anywhere on this site.

The Standard

Quiet work. Documented evidence. Honest answers.

Two decades of intelligence work comes down to a simple standard: work quietly, document everything at the moment it happens, and separate what is established from what is assessed. It is the difference between a finding that survives challenge and one that falls apart the first time someone tests it — and it is why attorneys, employers, and families call me rather than someone cheaper.

Licensed & Accountable

Verify my license.

Anyone can call themselves an investigator. A licensed agency is on the record with the State of Florida, carries required insurance, and is answerable to a regulator. Confirm my standing yourself through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services public license database — search by agency name or license number.
